I recently purchased some goods on EBAY and paid using my PayPal linked account. The amount was over £400 pounds but two days later I looked at my credit card statement I could see that payment had been made but in addition to that was a payment of £16 for a transaction fee. I called the credit card company and they confirmed the fee had been added because it treated the payment as a third party and as such was made as a cash transaction.I am not getting anywhere with the PayPal website as it takes me around in circles. Any help will be appreciated.

Nothing to do with paypal if your card company charged an extra fee for its use.

My credit card company says its PayPal fault. The transaction on the statement states that money was to PayPal. When I looked on my PayPal statement there is no record of me using PayPal in the last 90 days. As there was no record of the transaction I an unable to open a complaint.
