How long does it take payment from USA to reach a U.K. PayPal account?

Someone has shown they have sent me payment, I have confirmed that it has gone to the right username/email address but it isn’t showing as being received my end. How long should this process take?

Have they sent in a currency that you have added as a receiving currency on your paypal account?

Have you verified / confirmed your email address?
