I tried to refund a purchase from Ebay today that was paid using PayPal. This is what I got back in my message box:
Hi JOHN, You approved a refund request, but there was a problem issuing a refund from your payment account to the buyer. Please contact your payment provider, so they can help resolve the problem quickly. See Cancel Details Cancel ID[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]Order number: 16-04922-18244 Buyer ID: sstahl95
Any idea what I need to do?? The money for this transaction is sitting in my pay pal account. Ive been trying to get help through PayPal chat since 11am today and have received nothing.
The money the buyer paid may be in your balance but as you don't get the fee you were charged refunded when you refund the payment then you need to have that in your balance as well, if you don't then you have to fund it via your linked bank account.
Advice is voluntary. Kudos / Solution appreciated.
