On April 7th, 2010, I was told by GE Money that the company no longer handles the payments for Paypal Plus credit so they closed down the internet link for payments. Paypal reps said that since I closed my account (which I did over a year ago and was paying online to GE Money) I have NO option to pay online. Paypal only allows Paypal Plus credit holders with active Paypal Plus credit cards to pay online. Those of us who are simply trying to payoff a balance must either pay a $15 fee to pay by phone or snail mail the monthly payment to them.
This would seem a technologically backwards move for Paypal EXCEPT that I am confidant the purpose is to cheat customers out of $15 phone payment fees or raise interest rates if the payment does not arrive in time through the mail.
I had thought highly of Paypal for years but now I am disgusted with Paypal and will tell all who will listen that Paypal is simply another untrustworthy giant company. And since Paypal is closely linked with eBay, my opinion of eBay is now tainted as well.
SHAME on the powers that be at Paypal who are responsible for this horrible decision!
