Unable to log into my other account from a different country due to the new security challenge

Hi there,

I'm having a big problem, but it's not with this account. This is my Ukraine account, where I currently live.

The problem is with another account from Finland, where I used to live. I never had a problem accessing it from Ukraine, but now it seems no longer possible.

They ask to give a verification code which is sent to my phone. But that is of course my Finnish number, which I no longer have. I was never able to change my number because it's not possible to change the country prefix.

There seems to be no phone support. I can't send them a message or use these forums with that Finnish account, because it requires me to log in.

Hence why I thought to ask it with this account.

I have sent them a message from this account too, but no reply.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or another more direct way to get in touch with them?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

However you are allowed 2 paypal accounts in 2 countries accessed when you are in each of them BUT one must be personal and the other one a business account.

The problem is that I now live in Ukraine. Paypal Ukraine only lets you send money, not receive money. So it's useless to me.

I did contact support via my Ukraine account (which is a personal one, the other one which I can't access is a business account), but they can't help and suggested that I access it when I go to Finland. Pretty ridiculous as it's highly unlikely I will go there again in the next years at least.
