My paypal account has already linked to a local bank in Hong Kong. Now I would like to link to another bank in U.S.
In the wallet page, I can click "Link a bank" at the left side, then I choose "Link a U.S. bank instead" at the bottom, clicked Savings in Account Type. It is then required to put in Routing Number and Account Number. I don't know what Routing number is. All I can put in is my 11 digits account number of U.S. bank. And it tells me "The information you entered is incorrect. Please check your information and try again." So is it compulsory to put in routing number? What routing number is? Is there any easier, less confusing way to complete the linking process? Thanks.
