What might be preventing me from doing so?

Case: At an ecommerce which accepts PayPal as a payment solution, I:
- choose it;
- log in into it.
And PayPal makes my own payment methods (card, bank account) available for me to choose from.
But not some balance I have in PayPal account (Wallet).
Question: Is there a way to do so? How?
Obs. 1: I don't want to send it to my card or bank account, I want the balance to stay in my PayPal account and to consume it in online purchases.
Obs. 2: Even though I don't want it, feel free to suggest what you believe to be better practices. I just also need an answer for my preferred scenario.
