I sold a pair of shoes to a buyer with zero feedback on eBay. He immediately paid $250+ via PayPal. In PayPal the funds show an “eBay hold”. I was planning to ship on Monday, but I guess my question is, what’s to stop this buyer from canceling this “pending payment” once he receives the package. It’s been years since I’ve sold the only two things I’ve ever sold on eBay. Just asking how I’m protected as a seller from getting scammed out of the money and the shoes? Thanks

I believe the buyer made their payment, it’s EBay that puts the hold on it until you have shipped the item and furnished a tracking number. That way both parties are protected until sale transaction is complete.

The buyer did make the payment, but I’m just worried that as soon as it’s delivered that he can cancel a payment with an “eBay hold” The buyer has (0) feedback and joined 2020
