I have a beef and I'm hoping it will be heard and a resolution found.
I've been a PayPal and eBay member since the beginning of it all. I've enjoyed the many benefits of these services and thought it would be great to impliment PayPal services in my business practices. I use PayPal by making secure purchases over the internet for supplies needed, both through eBay and through other companies. I also use PayPal here to accept credit pard payments made by my customers when they would prefer to swipe a card instead of pay using cash or check.
My beef is, I need to keep track of these purchases for tax purpopes and for daily transaction checks and balances. I have my email set up through PayPal to deliver to my business inbox where I keep track of all transactions, filing them into their perspective folders. My email has now become a target for spam. With every purchase made using PayPal, my email is sent to the seller, who in turn either sells my email or usues it themselves for spam opportunities. Now I'm feilding 50+ emails daily asking if I want to have an affair, offered a tempting click on me link, telling me I've won a million dollars if only I can send $99.00 to process the paperwork, etc...
Resolution? Take a lesson from Craiglist and give us the option to make our email addresses anonymous when making purchases via eBay or through other websites that accept paypal. Protect our privacy and keep us from having to use our work time sending spam to junkmail.
