Transferring email while closing account

Situation: I have 2x PayPal accounts. I want to close 1x account and transfer the email attached to that account to the other account.

Questions: Can I use the old email after the account is closed? Assuming I can, once I have closed my account, how long will I need to wait before I can add the email to my other account?

You should be able to use it and you should be able to use it as soon as the other paypal account is closed BUT that doesn't mean to say that what you should be able to do always happens.

So if you hit problems ask customer services to link it for you.
