Issue with country Setting in Paypal account.

i have a issue setting my paypal account to sell some items on Ebay.com

I am a resident of Philadelphia area, Pennsylvania, USA for last 27 years.

I'm trying to setup the Ebay account to link with my paypal account and getting into a big issue.

Whenever, I clicked the link within the paypal account setup page to link with Ebay account.

The Link send me over to Korean Ebay Site, which is under GMarket.

I have no idea why my country setting is set it at South Korea, instead of USA

and it won't allow me to change the region or country from profile section.

AS the link send me over to Korean Ebay Site, the bank account setup is set it to Korean Bank type.

There is no section that I can link my bank account to the paypal.

when I try to contact the customer service of paypal from Contact US section, the numbers to contacts are

in S.Korea which start with area code of 02(means Seoul).

Please help me with this issue, if you know how to change the settings of Country or region of paypal account.

Please be kind enough to share with me, I'll really appreciate your help.

When you registered your paypal account you must have hit the South Korea option when you selected the country.

As Paypal is 'country specific' you will never be able to verify that account so would equally not be able to use it.

You need to open a Paypal account in the country you actually reside in.

so that means i have to close this one and open a new one with country set it to USA, right?

lol, this is making me nuts.

as you told me, i did open a new paypal account with my 2ndary email address and when it shows the country setting

i did choose United States. and I did put my personal cellphone number as well with starting country code 1.

i did confirm my email address and when i get back to setup the new paypal account for the ebay setup.

it send me right into the Korean ebay site again.

i have no idea what's going on with paypal now.

i did setup the account with USA and it didn't accept it at all

ok thats weird, think you had better phone c.s. on this one.

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.
