Cell phone question

It is becoming ever more difficult to access my Paypal account because I keep getting stopped with demands to give my cell phone number. Today I found, after logging in, that there was no longer a "skip" option on the page where I was being told to enter my cell phone number.

The fact is that I don't own a cell phone, and I don't ever intend to own a cell phone. Now that Paypal no longer offers an option to contact a representative using e-mail, how can I get the Paypal software to stop pestering me about a cell phone number? I've tried the messaging option several times, with no effect whatsoever.

Paypal has been recruited by the US intelligence community (read NSA) to force everyone to get a cell phone so that they can monitor you completely (even when your phone is off).  If you doubt this, please read Edward Snowden's "Permanent Record".
