Wrong phone number at the confirmation section?

can't confirm my accoun cause there is totally wrong phone number. I can log in to my aacoun but then it asks txt message confirmation or call to me but the phone number is wrong. What to do??

this is maddening, not being able to call or chat with a human about this...  after several attempts, was finally able to add my current phone number, and I was even able (after several attempts) to remove the old number, or so I thought...  but it's still in my account settings, and even though the new number has successfully been made the primary, I'm still being asked to have the confirmation code sent to the old number...  and of course PayPal has no contingency for this listed among their vast array of common problems...
