PayPal Authenticator numbers not being received

When trying to complete transaction, Paypal advises that Authenticator will be sent to my mobile. Mobile number is correct - but Nothing is received. I then click the option to contact me by phone. That then says Paypal unable to identify me. So i try accessing the message centre, That also wont allow me access. I have tried telephoning Helpline. That’s worse than hopeless. Massive waste of time trying to seek help from Paypal. Hoping someone can assist me. My only other option is to close account completely!
