Password change not possible

I'm trying to change my password. My current password has a period in it, and the new password which I want it to change to would have upper and lower case letters, numbers and two periods in it. But it won't let me change it, it says:

  • Your password can only include letters, numbers and these characters: !@#$%^&*().

But that's exaclty the case!

And when entering the new password, there is even a message saying:

  • 8-20 charachters long.
  • At least one number or symbol like (!@#$%).

And these two hints even disappear once I am entering my new password and both criteria are fulfilled.

So I strongly think there is a mistake on password validation. Or is the dot not possible to be used any more as part of the password? That would be very annoying since I really want a dot in my password and my current password even also have a dot in it.
