Message from paypal

I have received two text messages from 62226 saying: PayPal: Your security code is ******. It expires in 10 minutes. Don't share this code with anyone. PayPal will never call to ask for this code. is this really? Does it mean someone is trying to get into my account? Or is this fake? I assumed it wasn’t fake because there is no link to click etc. Thanks in advance

Hi,

Have you clicked on Contact Us at the bottom part of the page?

The code is usually given so when you call customer service, instead of them asking you for any information, you can just provide the code and then they can access your account. 

If not, then the code is for someone trying to get in the account and for verification purposes, they sent you a text message.
