I received a letter telling me that I hadn't used my PayPal account in the last 12 months. I've logged in regularly over the last 12 months and used it twice in September. Has anyone else received a letter and has had activity on their account in the last 12 months?

Hi,
Yes my husband received a letter this morning from Paypal Europe SARL. Things is we both have paypal accounts but they are UK not Europe and the registered email in the letter was not his, although the name and address on the letter was. It said he hadn't used the account for 12 mths and he would be charged £9 or we could log into the account to stop it. Unfortunately, as we don't recognise the registered email, we can't log in and I have no idea if they have my husbands bank details to do this. we certainly have not opened a paypal Europe account so this is very worrying for him. I can't find anywhere on our paypal accounts to report this fraud as when you try to report fraud, they ask which activity to report it on. we can't do that as its not the uk paypal site.
Very frustrating and frightening.
Linda
