I don't live in Belgium. How do I correct this?

I signed up for a business account on Paypal.com, but the "confirmation your e-mail " address had the ".be" extension.  I live in the United States, but somehow Paypal decided I live in Belgium.   How do I change this?  Do I need to delete my account and try again?  There wasn't a pulldown menu or anything to select country.

When you click the word 'register' the first thing you do is to select your country from the drop down list.

If you chose the wrong one then it would never work for you.

If you can close it then yes do so and then open one in your own country.

If you can't close the old one (as you can't verify it) then you 'may' find its not possible to re-use the same email address.

I can't find how to delete the account, so it looks like I'm stuck with a Belgian account.  Well, lets hope there are no tax or legal problems as a result

You won't ever be able to verify another countries account.

You would not be able to withdraw any funds and at some point it will be limited.

You can't use it, you need to open a U.S account and then contact customer services to see if they can help you close the other one.
