Sounds as if you have opened a U.S paypal account rather than one in your own country.
If that is the case then it would be useless to you as you would never be able to verify it.
If you do open one in your own country then................
The option to 'receive' paypal payments is sadly not available in your country.
You can only 'send' payments for purchases.
Click on the link below and select the country you want from the drop down list for options available in that country.
