Change Name to the Legal Name

Hi, hope someone can help me. I created my Paypal account years ago using my nickname now when i want to change my name, using the same identity card they rejected. And they want to close my account.  The same name shown on identity card as well as the bank statement and utilities bill attached to Paypal. And yet they want some identification same as my nickname 

"Unfortunately, we can't verify your account, because the name on your document doesn't match the name that is registered on your PayPal account. Please use the name shown on your identity document to create a new PayPal account."

When i created years ago, why they did not verify the name with the identity card?

Now when we have money Paypal wanna lock the account!

What do i need to do? So frustrating.  If i create a new account how do i get back my money?

If the name on the account is not a name that was ever your legal name, it is not likely that a name change will be possible. Names can be changed on an account in the following circumstances:

A legal name change

A minor misspelling

And in the case of an account for a registered business, a change in the designated contact for the company.

Changing from a fictitious name (or, as in your case, a name unrelated to your legal name) to a legally recognized name is not something that is supported. If the account is not currently limited, you may wish to close the account and open an account using the correct information.

 If i close the account and open a new account, what about the money inside?

Thank you for your response. My name is the same as my legal name except missing the middle name.

Without changing that i can't link to my bank account.

Now the problem is that i can't upload the files at all. 😞
