OSCommerce and Payment Pro checkout problem

I'm using OSCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.1 with Paypal Payment Pro (including Express installed) and it works. The problem is that if card details are incorrect then when clicking on the Confirm Order button it goes to the shopping cart page with nothing in. There is the error message top right of the page "This transaction cannot be processed. Please enter a valid credit card number and type."

Does anyone have any ideas or clues as to how and where to fix this?

Turns out that I needed to change the SSL cookie settings and edit their paths!
