Checkout problems

I have a website that I am linking to my paypal account.  Does my bank need to be verified before my websites checkout will work.  I have spent the last two days trying to get this linked & this is the only thing I can think of!

With regards to the initial question: no, your bank account does not need to be linked to your PayPal account in order to start accepting payments (initially).
