Lets say we have a shopping cart application. It is used by merchants in their websites. Can we pass our referral ID when someone makes a payment on a merchant site that uses our shopping cart application? Just being able to pass a referral ID through a link saying something like 'to sign up with PayPal click here' is useless to applications that actually provide PayPal with customers.
