I just installed PayPal and I can't do the setting to turn off the e checque payments. I' ve been told to look for Seller Preferences (couldn't find), and then Getting Paid and Managing Risk, Block Payments and then to block Payments with e Cheques. I found none of these. Can anyone, please, help me to achive this?

You only have that option if you have a business account.
