Can I control stock using paypal?
I have qty 10 items per part number ( 100 items in all ) to sell. Is it possible for paypal to have qty for sale shown after price on my website then automatically detect a sale and lower the qty left by 1? Or do I have to somehow include this in my website which is under construction. As you can tell I'm new to all this and would value anyones help
Thanks
PB

Your best option for inventory control is either your own back end application or a 3rd party shopping cart.
PayPal's Website Payments Standard does have an inventory feature however, it does not display an inventory count to the customers. Should a customer want to purchase an item that is sold out, they will not know the status of the until they Add the item to the Shopping Cart and see the PayPal Screen displayed. At that point, the PayPal Screen will display a message that item is unavailable. This works fine for many people, but if you want more information, a 3rd party shopping cart with a backend database may be better for your needs.
