I have my banking account as default funding source. and my credit account as backup one.

just few minutes age, i made a purchase with the default funding source. actually i should use the backup one.

and now i got insufficient money in my banking account.

how paypal deal with this situation? clean up the funds in my bank and charge the rest into my creditcard? or just over charge my banking account?

Unfortunately payments cannot be split between funding sources per PayPal's own policies.   Actually, if you don't have overdraft protection and/or insurance with YOUR bank, your bank will honor the PayPal funds request and then charge YOU an overdraft fee.  This is simply one way that banks get money from their customers.  Folks always blame PayPal but, sometimes their own bank is the issue, not PayPal.   Just a scenario to consider.

So PayPal allows to add the credit card for? For decoration? Why not use it directly or try to split? I am just in such issue. I tried my best to get the overdraft protection but still have to pay overdraft protection fee $10. If PayPal can't do a good job, they should be more clear about it.
