I've searched and haven't found an answer to this. Any help greatly appreciated.
I want to reward certain customer behavior by sending a $5 gift certificate for my website store. The customer could then use this on their next visit.
When I try to do this PayPal barks telling me I can't purchase from my own store (even though the gift certificate is for someone else).
Any ideas?

True, you cannot purchase from your own store using your own account. This is one of PayPal's security checks to prevent fraud or other possible illegal activities. PayPal does allow you to have two Accounts, one Personal and one Premier or Business Account. It may be possible for you to use a Personal Account however, you will need at least a credit card for verification and that same card cannot be associated with any other PayPal Account.
