Paypal only has one type of paypal button and I don't like it. I want to use my own paypal button. On my website, I linked my paypal button image to the purchase page but I kept getting the message
"If you were making a purchase or sending money, we recommend that you check both your PayPal account and your email for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes.
If you came to this page from another website, please return to that site (don't use your browser's Back button) and restart your activity.
If you came from PayPal's website, click the PayPal logo in the upper-left corner to return to our home page and restart your activity. You might have to log in again." What is this problem!? Is this a type of protection by paypal to protect buyer?

This is my website: http://speedingticketbeater.com/salespage.html
This is my first website so don't think too poorly of it. I also tried linking the images to the payment page. They don't work either.

What you're trying to do with encrypted code won't work. There's several things wrong including the commands you're using but, the encryption in a text or hyperlink won't work either. If you want to use protected code in a text or hyperlink, suggest using the online button creator from within your PayPal Account. By default, the online button creator will generate "hosted" item button code. Hosted code is tamper proof because specific variables are stored on the PayPal's Servers. Any changes made to the "hosted" code must be done online from within your PayPal Account. Changes made to the code on your web page will be ignored, that's why the code is tamper proof.
After generating the button code online, select the "Email" tab to view the Text Link Code. Note, the "Email" tab will not be available if have included dropdown selections or text boxes in your item button code. This is because you cannot include dropdown selections or text boxes in a Text or Hyperlink.
The code displayed will look something similar to this example:
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=699665
You then need to tweak the code a little for the text or hyperlink format, similar to this example:
<a href="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=699665">Add to Cart Hosted Example</a>
And if you want to use a Graphic for your customer's to click on, then your code will look similar to this example:
<a href="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=699665"><img src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_cart_LG.gif" alt="" title="" border="0" align=""></a>
