How to add credit card on Paypal?

I'm new to paypal and what I mean is if you click ADD CREDIT CARD on your paypal account and put the info and you click enter does it add automatically and your'e ready to use it like EBAY? Or you need to do some verification process? if so, can you tell me what it is?

But my friend did not verify it when he entered he's card into his paypal account when he bought some things in ebay, He did not need to put a 4 digit code inorder to use it but it showed into his TO DO A LIST.So can  you use the card to buy things in ebay even if you did not put the 4 digit code?

But how come in the Video tutorial, they did mot say that you need to confirm it? it says when you enter the card you can shop already?? I'm confused.

After you confirm your card, you will be able to use it.  If you don't confirm it, you can't use it.  It's just that simple.   If you run into a problem, you will have to contact PayPal's Customer Service.
