Hello,

I have a brand new sealed Iphone 8 for sale on Gumtree, the buyers are offering to pay all the fees and postage expenses if i send the phone to them, however i am worried that if i sell this phone and the buyer changes their mind or says that the phone has some defects, they can start complaining or say that they didnt receive the phone. I want to ask if you have heard of any problems like this before?

If you send trackable and tracking and siggy shows he received the item then you would win a dispute for non receipt.

If you sent it and it did not arrive (however you sent) then you would have to refund and claim from R.M.

If they file a dispute for SNAD then yes you may have to refund on return of the phone back to you.

Selling and paypal is always going to be a bit risky at times.

You should really go and read up on seller protection so you can then risk assess your own transactions.

And never send anything until you have the funds in your paypal account balance.
