I made a purchase using PayPal on 6th October and payment has not been taken from my bank account, I made another purchase from the same supplier on 11th October and that payment has been taken from my bank account. I have never had this happen before.
You may have pay after delivery for one payment which debits from bank 14 days later. You may have paid the first transaction using PayPal balance and that why you don't see it on your bank statement . You may have paid the first using your bank account number and second using a debit card. Debit card is usually quicker
