Express Checkout and subscriptions

According to the product info page at: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/products/recurring-payments/ it is possible to setup fixed price point recurring billing with Express Checkout.

However there is nothing mentioned about that on the checkout page https://developer.paypal.com/demo/checkout/#/pattern/responsive

Please could someone point me to either the documentation, or an example of how to setup recurring billing through the 'express checkout'.
