ok just checking that point first.
Paypal is country specific so if you 'move' countries you have to close your old account and re-open a new one in your new country.
However if you are just 'on hols' and trying to use it paypal security will kick in as they may well suspect your paypal account has been hacked and being used by someone else in another country. So they often place limits until they can verify its you (normally by a text to your paypal registered phone).

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Are you sure it was not a spoof?
Have you logged in normally and not via any link to see if your account is limited.

Hi
I logged in directly and not via any link. Checked to see my account and there was nothing untoward. I assumed that there would be something there that would tell me it had been limited
