Account limitations - and no information on how to lift them

Hi,

my account has limitations, since I have received more than 2,500/year in payments. However, I cannot find any information about the steps to lift them. The warning message refers to the European Money Laundering regulations, but how can I comply with them? All the relevant documentation has already been sent--no idea of what else I should do. Does anyone have this same problem? It is quite unnerving, since I keep receiving warning messages, and I cannot even close the account.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Normally you have to add a bank account.

Thank you  very much for reply. But a bank account is linked to my account-- it has been linked for years. So this cannot be the reason for the limitations.

Thank you again for your help, but I have tried the path that you suggest many times, to no avail.

I get the information that my account has 2 limitations. But in fact under the menu "select a limitation" only 1 limitation is listed: "You have received €2,500 or more in total payments to your PayPal account". When I select it, I get the following message:

You have received €2,500 or more in total payments to your PayPal account in this calendar year. PayPal is required by law to comply with European Union Anti-Money Laundering regulations by collecting information from customers when they reach this limit. Until you provide us with the information we need, your account will be limited. You won't be able to send or withdraw any money using PayPal, however, you may still be able to receive payments. If you don't provide the required information within 45 days, your ability to receive money may also be revoked until the information is provided. Please go to the Resolution Centre for more information on what you need to do.
If you don't resolve this limitation soon, more features will be affected by 2 Feb 2016.
Impact on account: Medium

How on earth am I supposed to respond to this message? What is "the information that we [PayPal] need"? I am more than willing to provide information about my organization's activities in order to comply with European Union Anti-Money Laundering regulations. Unfortunately, I have no idea of what kind of documents I am expected to provide.

Moreover, if I click on the "resolve" button that appears at the bottom of the same page, I land on another page where the following items are listed on the left: confirm identity, personal details, proof of identity, letter of authorisation, proof of business registration, business information, add beneficial owners, add company directors, confirm bank account or card. All of them have a check mark, which I guess means that they have been received by PayPal and are in order. It is quite confusing.

Thank you again for your help, best wishes,

In that case you may have to call customer services so they can see if there are any issues

                                        .................................................................

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Log in and get the code.

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent OR just say the word 'Agent'".

In the UK its free from any landline phone.
