No options to select "checking" or "savings" when linking bank account

I tried to link my bank account but there is no option to choose between a savings or checking account. after I tried linking my bank account it automatically sets its account type to checking. How do I link a savings account?

I have checked questions asked in the past, and saw that they removed this option in the new PayPal UI, and that those options were available before this change.

I'd really just like to have my savings account linked. Thanks.

I had the same issue too. I checked my Paypal and noticed that my linked bank account is 'Checking'. I could have sworn I entered 'Savings' but I guess, like you said, it automatically assigns the account type to 'Checking'.  Could this be just ok on the Paypal side because maybe it's one of their policies for 'Withdraw Funds' transactions? Maybe it has to be 'Checking' to do this? That would be why there is no button to edit the bank account type?

But then we don't know because there's no info in Paypal about this (!)

Anyone from Paypal reading this: PLEASE HELP. We need to withdraw funds (!)

Same here. I am wondering if are they requiring a checking account? I entered my savings account. Is there an update with you guys whether or not it works eventhough it's not a checking account? Thanks!
