I looked at my fees today and noticed each of my last 6 transactions were charged more than 2.9% +.30. All are US transactions. Here are the amounts:
Billed / Charged / What I think should have been charged
23.90 / 1.04 / .99
42.93 / 1.62 / 1.54
37.10 / 1.30 / 1.38 <--this one they billed less than they "should" have (was an AMEX card)
61.71 / 2.21 / 2.09
53.35 / 1.95 / 1.85
133.00 / 4.42 / 4.16
Have I just forgotten how to calculate, or am I being over charged? If my calculations are correct, why am I being charged more than the 2.9 + .30? All are US transactions. All were visa/mastercard except the one AMEX as noted.
