Raised a claim for non-delivery and now seller has apologised and posted item

On the 22nd November I ordered some items from a firm in America and payed by paypal.   After a period of time I tried communicating with them via their customer support, messenger and Facebook with no response.  I asked for a refund.

I used the paypal despute system and still no response so on the 18th I escalated to a claim and today I got an email saying that the order has progressed and the item is about to be sent.  It is too late for them to cancel the order.

It is obviously going to take awhile for the items to arrive (if they arrive) so I don't want to close the claim just yet as the items may not arrive.  After a lack of communication it is difficult to trust the company

Any advice on what to do.

@x54

Let the dispute continue, if you do get a refund and then the item turns up you can always pay the seller again can't you.
