Hi All,
I booked flights with Monarch in June for April 2018. £1200 in total and used Paypal to pay. Monarch has now gone into administration and the unhelpful CAA website is feeling very proud bringing 100k people back using 30 planes over the next few weeks.
I have read the CAA Monarch website to be told that there is no ATOL protection on flights booked. - surely this cannot be right? How can you pick and choose ATOL protection?
Paypal must surely honour refunds to protect it's good name. Will they be releasing a statement?
I am contacting them direct today but expect a fight to get my money back.

I have tried to raise a ticket in the resolution centre. but the system will not let me raise a ticket. I tried calling and again the automated system will not let me raise a ticket. Has anyone managed to raise a dispute in the resolution centre (or even contact the seller via the resolution centre?

I had similar problems trying to lodge a refund request through the reolution centre. I called the freephone contact number and a dispute was logged and immediately esculated by paypal. I was told I should recieve a refund within 10 days.

I managed to get throught to a person. I called the number I got at https://www.paypal.com/gb/selfhelp/contact/call . To pass the bot on the phone say (maybe few times) "I want to talk to an agent". You'll get through to customer service. You explain why you are calling and then you should be transferred to Claims department. They'll raise the claim on your behalf. If I didn't misunderstood, if Monarch doesn't reponse in 10 days, PayPal shoul cover the refund. I really hope so.
