Chargeback F&F

I was scammed a loan of £47 and i want to file a complaint, but you can't chargeback F&F payments, which is extremely frustrating as i have just been scammed a loan. I even stated in the description it was a loan. PayPal still did not help me.

How can i chargeback this payment, i can't afford to just lose £50 for no reason.

A friends / family (or gift payment) is intended as a transfer of funds from family or friends to one another. For this reason, there is no processing fee when payment is made with bank or PayPal balance.

On the other hand, as it is a “gift” payment, there is also no Buyer protection as no goods or services should have been exchanged.

Your only hope is if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then contact your card issuer and see if they will help you.

This is not helping. PayPal should update their policies because many things could go wrong. I even stated that i gave out a *Loan* yet still no help.

Their policies are fine, you sent a 'gift' of money to someone, if you had sent a 'loan' you would have used the goods / SERVICES option.

Not paypals fault you chose the wrong option.
