I just wanted to let others know of my experience with the Resolution Center and efforts to resolve a case. It has been extremely time consuming and frustrating. I purchased an item that was advertised as legitimate. The seller opened and closed his ebay account on the same day, after selling 99 pieces of said item. I later filed a dispute since I had no way of knowing how to contact seller and the item didn't arrive after several days. I was sent a tracking number from China Air Post. As it turns out, the item in question is an obvious fake from China and worthless. The Resolution Center instructed me to send it back to China (the seller had listed Canada as his address) with a tracking number. To do so would require me to spend more in shipping than I did on the item to begin with. The response from the Resolution Center was to close my case. This is the only time I have filed a dispute and am very unhappy with the way it was handled. I offered to send the item to PayPal or to the Canada address, but was not given a response. From my perspective, the system protected a fraudulent seller and didn't protect a buyer from a dishonest seller. It didn't work. I will be much more selective in when I use PayPal in the future. If you want to contest anything, good luck in making contact with a human. Their customer service is nonexistent.
