Not sure how that happened..

So I recently purchased something online, from a company I've bought from before with no trouble.  This time, I got a message from my bank about a failed withdrawal.. freaked me out.  It turns out, PayPal completely skipped my primary and backup methods to charge an old account that I *thought* I had removed from PayPal.  When I saw this, I tried to cancel it so I could pay to avoid having a second overdraft... no such luck.  PayPal has now overdrafted an account twice and then allowed me to actually pay off, with the source it should have automatically charged.

Contacting them has generated nothing more than automated responses...

Any help here?  Ideally, I'd like to not have to pay the overdraft fees, seeing how its kind of PayPal's fought here for having faulty software.. but I will if needed.  Also, does this impact credit score?  I'm kind of tempted to cancel my PayPal altogether knowing this kind of irresponsibility might happen.
