I had a buyer on Tuesday start sending me emails like I had shipped a guitar that won on eBay. After about 3 emails I said I will do all that after I get paid. He told me he used the eBay check out 24 hours ago and paid. We exchanged emails all day while I tried to trouble shoot the issue. I called PayPal and thy had no answer but to remove it. I wanted to know how did it get there but she could not answer.
I did the same thing with eBay and they were the same except they said it PayPal's fault. Now I am thinking that this a dry run or someone figuring out a piece of the puzzle. I don't know what to make of this although I got an email from PayPal after the fact warning me that a new address was added to the account. Nice! CYA.
I know and understand web security issues and have been involved in some real beauties that never made it to front page but should have. we will see what happens.
