If it's true that you cant open multiple accounts on one email, then why was a stranger able to use my real name and email to open a UK paypal account, add their credit card, and make a purchase? I just got an congratulatory email welcoming "me" to my new account. I was not "hacked" or phished, "their" email was never confirmed as far as I know.
So apparently, the responses here saying that's impossible were wrong?
Anybody know how this will affect me? My account is active and I have a scheduled payment incoming next week. Which account is that payment going to go into? mine or the fraud?
How could this happen?
