Trying to refund - refund amount is greater than current PayPal balance

Hello! 

I am trying to refund a buyer but I am always getting this prompt:

The refund amount is greater than your current PayPal balance. Please link a credit or debit card to send the refund.

I want to refund her 180$, but the payment she sent me is on hold and my net balance after that is 160$. So I would need to pay her from my remaining balance plus money from my credit card.

I've already linked my credit card but for some reason I am still unable to make the refund.

Sorry i had to look something up to check.

From what I read you can't split a refund in another currency between paypal balance and a credit card.

You either have to use the full amount in your balance or a card.

You 'should' be able to.

I now have 188$ in my account, I am trying to refund her but it still won't push through.

This is so frustrating, I already want to close this case as the buyer is already saying nasty things to me.
