Scam for buying cars through gum tree

I received a text from a number that came up with the name "Danny" that said "Hi, Is your vehicle still available? If yes, kindly email my Dad at <Removed> as this is urgent. Thank you" So I emailed not thinking much of it and then got a reply from a guy saying his name was Karl and that he wanted to buy my car to give to his grandson as a gift for his graduation, this is where I became a little sis given that it's only the beginning of the school year?? Also he said he couldn't come view the car as he worked abroad for the Austalian Defends Force which also made me sus and who would give that kind of info out? I've worked for the government before and you're told to keep where you work private. So anyway I googled scams for buying cars and this forum came up and confirmed what I had suspected that I was potentially being scammed. Anyway I sent an email to the bloke saying I knew he was a scam and to leave me alone, he then got angry and told me to <Removed>.
