Refunds on returned merchandise

I purchased a pr of shoes  that were not correct and returned to point of purchase after contacting sender and received a return number.  I had tracking photo of post office departure point as well as photo of my notification that it was received back at original destination in NSW.   I did not receive any correspondence or refund.   I opened a case with pay pal and they said they were sent to and received by me.   That is correct, I am not disputing that.   I RETURNED them back to sender and cannot get PayPal to understand that I am now waiting for refund.  They denied claim.   I appealed the claim and they denied it again under same circumstances that I received goods.   How do I get through to them that I returned them, have postage evidence in photos send to them  and now need my refund.?    This is so frustrating.

I had a similar problem with undelivered goods. Their virtual agent is useless, they closed the case after I escalated it, they deny any fault of theirs, multiple agents are totally useless and just continue to give me the run around.  No customer service whatsoever.
