Possible fraudulent duplicate account

I received an email that said someone logged in to my account. However, I don’t have an account under that particular email. PayPal’s automated services are too limited and I need to know if there is another (false) account with my name and info

Hi, customer service eventually got in touch and said there isn’t another account with any my info. Possible log in error from another user. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Could it have been a spoof? They normally have a link for you to log in so that they can steal your id. or financial information?

If not then.............

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones when available (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
