My account was hacked last week and I'm getting no help from eBay or PayPal in recuperating my stolen money. Will never use either of these services again. It's a joke!

if you were hacked......
Click on the transaction in your paypal account and use the 'report a problem' link at the bottom to report it as unauthorised if that is what it was.
An unauthorised transaction means that your Paypal account was hacked and used without your consent.
If Paypal check IP addresses / devices etc and find that it was hacked then yes you should receive your refund.
I hope you changed your password and security questions?
I hope you ran a virus scan on your computer?
I would also be telling my card issuers and bank accounts company that the account was hacked so that they can keep an eye on your account OR remove the financial info involved until things are sorted.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

My account was also hacked and 4 purchases were made from my paypal account by someone in Russia.
I filed a claim with PayPal and they replied me that my claim was denied (without any answer given). I called their offices and they told me that according to their report, my claim was denied because the transactions were legitimately made, i.e. the hacker used my devices.
Paypal did not even bother to tell me which devices were used during this attack.
I am doing my best to avoid using paypal under all circumstances.

Likewise - my card has been hacked multiple times through paypal. Their claim that they are 100% safe is simply not true. They are also hopeless when it comes to communication and resolution. A complete joke.

My PayPal account was recently hacked. It was my bank, not PayPal, who notified me. The very sophisticated thief, who somehow was able to create an alternate identity to cover his (or her) tracks, made off with over $1,000. My bank restored most of the funds to my account. I will never again use PayPal for any money transfers. If you intend to use PayPal, change your password to something very unique and not likely hackable. Otherwise, I urge you to close your PayPal account altogether. If your account is compromised, you will NOT get much help from PayPal AT ALL.

My problem now they are trying to supposedly send me $1000 now but it declined so therefore I was charged $25 for NSF charge. Now what do we have to sue Paypal.? I will.
