NERVOUS about giving Paypal my Bank Account information

I've been a PayPal user for over a decade.  I have always refused to add my bank account.  They have a MasterCard attached to the account which I buy materials for my business through eBay.  I sold some bric-a-brac over the last months, there is $500 in real money in there now.  But . . . I can't use it to buy anything.

Given all the scamming, data loss, and 679 pages of dispute issues, I REALLY, REALLY don't want to put my bank account number in there.

What is the least exposure I can get away with and rescue my $500 and money for anything I sell in the future?

Can I go to another bank, open an account, and put $100 in it?

Get a credit card with a $500 limit?

Honestly, if I have to attach my personal or company account to it, I'd rather not sell through eBay unless I can avoid PayPal.  I don't mind the fees, but the dispute resolution seems problematic and the chargeback without my consent is very worrying.

thanks for your insights.
