Does PayPal buyer protection cover items advertised as faulty, bought as parts or not working?

I am wondering if buyer can buy item advertised as faulty in parts or not working category and claim to PayPal that item is defective. Would faulty phone purchase be protected by PayPal if buyer knew that the phone is for parts or not working category and description says it many times? No missing components but literally broken as advertised.
What if buyer disassembled the phone, advertised as faulty, and later ask for the refund claiming is defective?
Can someone answer what is PayPal policy on it please?
Thank you

That depends on MANY factors all listed in Paypals buyer and seller protection policies for you to read so you can risk assess your transactions.
Legal (bottom right of Paypals pages) > user agreement > buyer/seller protection.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
